South African  Raw Frozen Rock Lobster Tails 

The Lobster is caught and processed from live and caught by vessels fishing off both the West and South Coasts of Southern Africa. 

These live lobsters are held in tanks for 72 hours for purging after which some are exported live to the far east, any weak or damaged lobster are then processed into export tails. 

The following are the species of Lobster Tails we supply:

• South Coast (Palinurus Gilchristi)

• West Coast (Jasus Lalandii)

• Other species that are available subject to season are from the east coast of South Africa i.e. The Transkei Coast and other species possibly available will be warm water tails from Mozambique i.e. Palinurus homarus and Palinurus Versicolor amoungst others.

The size and grading of each lobster Tail is as follows:

Sizes/s: 4.54 Kg (10Lbs) units packed in a Master Carton of 22.7Kgs (50 Lbs)
